RSE ATO Trackside

Data exchange between ATO Onboard and ATO Trackside

The ATO system consists of the Onboard Unit (OBU) and the Trackside Server (TS). The Trackside Server sends the Journey Profile (JP) and the Segment profile (SP) to the OBU of the train using ERTMS protocol. The Journey Profile describes the timetables of the train and the tracks to run whereas the Segment Profile gives a detailed description of a track layout.

Our ATO Trackside Server offers a similar but a simpler setup. This enables small and medium sized networks to go for ATO but for a significantly lower budget. It can run standalone or be connected to the Traffic Management System for the latest train routing information. Furthermore, the transmission of the JP and SP can also follow RSE’s simple communication channel and protocols.
